Have we survived 2019? What a diabolical year it has been for all of us.
Events will no doubt ever be the same. Virtual events, zoom meetings and postponed activations seem to be the all “new.” We can only hope that the antidote will allow us to continue to work in a an ever changing industry and that new memories can be made.
Kim Gaston began her career in the promotions, modelling and talent industry in 1989. Venturing out on her own in 2006. During the 30 odd years, she had managed the promotional staffing requirements for many of the manufacturers of car companies and was proudly the preferred supplier to the Director of the Melbourne Motor Show and have supplied and trained hundreds of staff to work with various vehicle manufacturers across Australia.
With each manufacturer requiring different looks, personalities and talents for their staff, we had met and exceeded expectations of all clients we had worked for. We have supplied staff for Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane Motor Shows. A very fond memory.
More recently Disney Pixar mini golf activations in most states have kept many of the promotional staff in work. A fun event and we have loved working with the clients from Lifelike Touring.
Melbourne Grand Prix 2010
ISS Marketing on behalf of Lion Nathan, conducted a branding awareness campaign. Gaston supplied over 30 males and females to represent Boags.
2010 Australian Open
Jack Morton on behalf of Optus used and trained our 25 staff to promote the services of Optus over the entire 11 days. This was our 5th year of service.
Pink Concert Tour
Pink performed 56 concerts across Australia and Gaston provided all the staff for Optus. Their role was to educate and encourage use of the Optus network and increase brand awareness.
ISS Marketing – Kraft
We provided 60 males and females at many AFL football matches to hand out samples of Kraft foods during 2009.
chose 40 females, to represent their personal care range at Delta Goodrem Concerts across Australia. The hostesses were hand chosen for their beauty, freshness and personality.
For the past 8 years Gaston hostesses have been hired for their corporate golf charity days. The hostesses are to mingle and encourage the sale of raffle tickets. One year $20,000.00 was raised over 3 days by Gaston hostesses.
Zanni Productions – David Jones
For about 10 years, Gaston staff as ushers and hosts have helped store openings, Boxing day sales and special events.
A few others worth mentioning are FINA Swimming Championships, Cirque Du Soleil Tour, iPhone launch, GC Raw launch and sampling campaign, where about 30 Gaston staff were hired for large events on any given day.
